DoorLogic

DoorLogic is an interactive software application for the PC that emulates an aircraft emergency exit and evacuation slide. It allows users to familiarize themselves, practice and be assessed on the decision making process just prior to the evacuation of an aircraft passenger cabin. Simply put DoorLogic allows for unlimited evacuation slide deployment and inflation, something that is both difficult and expensive to replicate in a training environment. DoorLogic functions as a virtual emergency exit and allows users to implement their own emergency evacuation procedures viewed from their own visual perspective at the exit. The program is able to simulate situations that would impede the use of an emergency exit such as an evacuation slide failure or a physical obstruction outside the door area. These attributes are selectable from the setup menu or the program can randomly generate them. DoorLogic can be used in two ways. As a role playing tool in a group training environment, where commands and instructions are conveyed verbally between the participants, or in a one on one situation where a single user interacts solely with the program.
